Hazard-free treatment of electrolytic manganese residue and recovery of manganese using low temperature roasting-water washing process

چکیده

• A process for hazard-free treatment electrolytic manganese residue (EMR) was proposed. Almost all of the ammonia in EMR recovered by low-temperature roasting. The present could be countercurrent water-washing. toxicity leaching results after met GB 8978?1996. combined low-temperature-roasting and water-washing is investigated as a method to treat recover manganese. In this study, phase transformation characteristics thermodynamics analysis low temperature roasting are evaluated. addition, effects time on washing roasted samples also investigated. Results reveal that some unstable phases within transformed into more stable depending time/temperature conditions used 60 min at 600 °C (R 60min/600°C ) exhibit highest rate recovery, 67.12 %. After 25 deionized water washing, concentration solution from R material become stable, whereas 6 cycles < 0.005 g/L. with three wash manganese-water suitable use metal production. Finally, tests show concentrations ions lower than regulatory limits mandated Chinese Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard

Extraction of Iron and Manganese from Pyrolusite Absorption Residue by Ammonium Sulphate Roasting–Leaching Process

The residue from desulfurization and denitrification of exhaust gas treatment process with pyrolusite ore as absorbent is regarded as a potential source of iron and manganese. In this study, an extraction process is proposed for recovery of iron and manganese with ammonium sulphate roasting followed by sulphuric acid leaching. Firstly, the conversion mechanism was analyzed through mineral phase...

Leaching Recovery of Zinc, Cobalt and Manganese from Zinc Purification Residue

This paper reports on the recovery of zinc, cobalt and manganese by two-step leaching of zinc-plants purification residue with sulfuric acid. The residue, hot filter press cake (HFC), contains 14 % ZnO, 4.8 % Co3O4 and 22.9 % MnO. Effects of different parameters are determined and used to optimize the process. With acid to hot filter press cake (HFC) stoichiometry of 0.85, acid concentration of...

Low-temperature, manganese oxide-based, thermochemical water splitting cycle.

Thermochemical cycles that split water into stoichiometric amounts of hydrogen and oxygen below 1,000 °C, and do not involve toxic or corrosive intermediates, are highly desirable because they can convert heat into chemical energy in the form of hydrogen. We report a manganese-based thermochemical cycle with a highest operating temperature of 850 °C that is completely recyclable and does not in...

Processing of Low Grade Fine Manganese Ore Using Flotation Method

Application of gravity and magnetic separation methods to upgrade low grade Manganese ores from Venaj Mine has been reported elsewhere. This paper discusses the results of flotation tests, as well as combination of flotation and magnetic method to concentrate fine particles (less than 150 microns) of manganese ore. Results obtained from various direct and reverse flotation tests, using differen...
